Deputies were called to Old Dover Road for a fist fight Sunday morning and charged a man with assault.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jared Werner said 31-year-old Roy Barlow was arrested after deputies were called to Old Dover Road for a report of two men fighting in the front yard. Barlow was reportedly fighting with his brother. After he was told to leave, Barlow reportedly started damaging his brother’s property.
Due to the amount of blood an ambulance was called to check both men. Both men were checked by emergency personnel, but neither was severely injured.
Barlow was taken to the hospital to be checked out. During the drive he allegedly threatened to do harm to the deputy and his family. He also would not stop beating on the doors of the vehicle.
After deputies attempted to put handcuffs on him after he was taken for X-rays at Trigg County Hospital, he allegedly began yelling and resisting arrest . Barlow then elbowed one of the deputies in the face as they attempted to put him back in the vehicle.
He charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, third-degree terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, second-degree assault on a police officer, first and second-degree disorderly conduct.
