Comer Announces 2019 Art Competition

Congressman James Comer is encouraging students interested in art across the region to enter the 2019 Congressional Art Competition.

According to Comer’s office, the United State s House of Representatives hosts the competition each year to recognize talented young artists from across the country. All high school students in Comer’s district are urged to participate. The winning artwork from the 1st District of Kentucky will be displayed in the U.S. Capital and will be featured on house.gov on the Congressional Art Competition page.

The first place winner of the regional competition will also win two roundtrip tickets to go to a reception in Washington, D.C. in June and receive a $3,000 yearly scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design or Tennessee Wesleyan College. All entries are due by April 26th.
