A man was tased multiple times as police attempted to detain him Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police report 42-year-old Phillip Brewer was tased multiple times after he reportedly came towards officers with his fists up and yelling as they attempted to detain him at 910 South Main Street.
Police were called to the home for a disturbance. When police arrived, Brewer appeared to be under the influence and told officers he was just trying to figure life out.
After Brewer was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, he reportedly threatened to blow up the hospital and everyone in it.
He is charged with menacing, public intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, second-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault of a police officer.
