Firefighters work to contain field fires as a wind advisory remains in effect until 7:00 Thursday night.
Multiple fire departments were called to the 7000 block of Poole Mill Road in the Crofton area for a field fire that has already burned 15 acres.
Firefighters were also called Wednesday night to the 3000 block of Butler Road for an acre and a half on fire.
Christian County Emergency Manager Randy Graham said even though there is not currently a burn ban, with the extremely high winds no one should attempt any controlled burns.
