Firefighters from four departments worked to extinguish two fires on Shetland Drive in Oak Grove Wednesday morning.
Oak Grove Deputy Chief Bill Laux said they were called to the scene just after 11 a.m. and found flames coming from one of the homes when they arrived.
The fire quickly spread to a second home causing severe damage.
An ambulance was called for one person who was in one of the homes for possible smoke inhalation but they were not transported to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation
Oak Grove Fire Department was assisted by Herndon, Fort Campbell, and Pembroke Fire Departments.
