Police have released more information about a wreck on East 9th Street Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Seth Meek said 21-year-old Joy Ruzicka of Hopkinsville, who works for Whistle Stop Donuts, was crossing East 9th Street from Blackhawk Bakery just before 4 a.m. when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Dehean Johnson of Hopkinsville hit Ruzicka.
Johnson was located on North Main Street by police and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure of owner to maintain required insurance.
Ruzicka was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries to her hip.
Johnson is lodged at the Christian County Jail.
