Every student in Christian County that plays chess is invited to register for the Spring 2019 Student Christian County Chess Tournament. The tournament will be held Saturday and is sponsored by the City of Hopkinsville Inner-City REZ and Christian County Public School System.
Inner-City REZ Coordinator Laura Faulkner says they have had a good turnout for the chess tournament that has been held for several years.

There will also be awards handed out in two divisions.

Each student will play three thirty-minute rounds and winners will be determined by points.She notes parents can pre-register for the tournament or you can register on-site Saturday morning beginning at 8:00.
right-click to download mp3The chess tournament will be in the gymnasium at Freedom Elementary School located at 831 North Drive in Hopkinsville. Supplies and light refreshments will be provided.
