The Hopkinsville Police Department is gearing up for the annual Junior Police Academy (JPA) class for students 11-15 years old. The week-long Junior Police Academy highlights the activities of the department and gives kids a chance to see what the department does on an annual basis.
The Junior Police Academy will start Monday, June 10 and conclude Friday, June 14th. The kids will meet every day, during this week, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hopkinsville Police Department located at 101 North Main Street. The weeks will end with a banquet and graduation ceremony for all kids that attend the academy.
The academy is free and limited to twenty-five students and applications can be picked up at the police department. Applications must be returned at police headquarters by Friday, May 24th.
