Police were called after bones were found in a building on East 6th Street Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a construction crew was digging and found bones along with shoe soles in Young’s Hardware.
The Christian County coroner confirmed the bones to be from an animal
Hopkinsville Historian William Turner said the building was used as a butcher shop in the 19th century and a shoe store was also located in the same area.
