Low Voter Turnout In Christian County As Of Mid-Day

Turnout for the state Primary Election today is low in Christian County, thus far. Registered voters across the state are selecting candidates to run for Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Attorney General and Auditor of Public Accounts who will face off in the November General Election.

Christian County Election Coordinator Melinda Humphries says it has been slow this morning.

She says they have not had any problems reported at the precincts other than one opening a little late due be short of poll workers.

As of mid-day, County Clerk Carmen Finley was unavailable and unable to provide an update pertaining to the turnout in Trigg County.
