An Elkton man was arrested for trafficking meth after an investigation Wednesday afternoon.
The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force reports 38-year-old Jason McCord was located at the West End Storage facility on Commerce Street and ran when detectives tried to arrest him. After a foot pursuit, McCord was arrested and found to have crystal meth, locally manufactured meth, a loaded handgun, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
McCord is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree trafficking meth and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Detectives say this is an open investigation and more charges are pending.
