A Pembroke man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after hitting a building Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Burgess said 56-year-old Gary Joiner hit the Minit Mart in Pembroke after his brakes went out causing damage to the doors.
Joiner then drove away and parked his vehicle at a nearby service station.
Joiner was located at his home on Spring Street and told deputies he parked the car at the shop to get it worked on and would talk with the gas station owner later.
Joiner is charged with first-degree criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident.
