A Trigg County man has been charged with stabbing his wife on Charleston Drive Saturday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Jason Barnes said a fight between a husband and wife led to 48-year-old Melissa Cavanaugh being stabbed multiple times and her husband 43-year-old Rico Cavanaugh being arrested.
Melissa Cavanaugh was rushed to the Trigg County Hospital by ambulance and remains in stable condition.
Rico Cavanaugh is charged with first-degree assault.
