AT&T Program Kicked Off Monday Afternoon With 15 Students

The Attitude, Training, and Teamwork program kicked off its ninth year of classes Monday afternoon at Challenge House #1.

Challenge House board member Wally Bryan says the program is for teens who live in the inner city neighborhoods and shows them what it takes to work in the real world.

When asked by the News Edge how many students typically leave the program, Bryan says the number is very low.

The first week focuses heavily on providing information on subjects such as resume writing, job preparedness, and money management. The second week features 16 hours of job training in a career field the students are interested in pursuing after high school.

The fifteen students in the current class will graduate on Friday, June 21 at 5:00 PM at the Challenge House located at 1001 Central Avenue in Hopkinsville. The second session of the program is scheduled to take place the week of July 8th at Challenge House #3 on South Fowler Street.
