A recent “Bites for Bobcat” fundraiser collected money for the Friends of Land Between the Lakes (LBL) and helped provide more funding for a renovation project at the Woodlands Nature Station.
According to the nonprofit organization, the event was held at Tap 216 in Murray on Thursday, June 6 and raised $2,000. The proceeds will fund improvements at the bobcat exhibit. The exhibit is 24 years old and planned renovations will feature enriching habitat features, a larger bad weather shelter box, increased safety features for staff, and offer improved viewing opportunities and educational messages for visitors.
Friends of LBL adds the total amount needed for the project is $35,000, with $15,000 already raised.
