Three people are facing charges after a Saturday night traffic stop on Glendale Drive in Cadiz.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office reports a vehicle driven by 34-year old Justin Evans of Cadiz was pulled over after an officer could not read the vehicle tag. During the stop, it was discovered Evans’ operator’s license and vehicle registration was expired. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a can with burnt marijuana residue and other paraphernalia. Evans was cited to court on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and expired registration and operators license.
During the stop, Evans’ passengers 25-year old Kayla Hill of Totz, KY, and 40-year old Elizabeth McDaniel of Cadiz were arrested.
Hill reportedly told officers her name was Brooke Wright and during the search of the vehicle, a needle with a clear liquid, believed to be meth was found in the glove box.
McDaniel was verified to have active warrants out of Caldwell and Christian County and was searched before being arrested. During the search, deputies found two fake $20 bills that fell out of her bra and a small glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue was found inside her purse.
Hill was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving an officer false identifying information, with McDaniel facing 3rd-degree possession of a forged instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
