Kentucky Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland says Kentucky Dam Village sustained major damage when severe storms rolled through Western Kentucky Friday night.
After surveying storm damage at the park near Gilbertsville Saturday morning Commissioner Holland told the News Edge a significant number of trees were damaged by the storm.
Holland adds there was quite a bit damage at the marina.
He adds crews are continuing to restore electric power at the park
Commissioner Holland adds Lake Barkley State Park did not receive as much damage as Kentucky Dam Village.
The storms passed through Land around 6:30 Friday night, then moved across Christian and Trigg counties.
