The Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission approved to send site plans for a new senior apartment project to their engineer Tuesday evening.
Chairman Bob Brame says this is the next step for the Emma Rose Senior Apartments that are slated to be built at the corner of Bella and Phoenix Drive.
He adds the commission will not have to pay for the review of the plans.
The plans were approved unanimously. This comes after the commission and Cadiz City Council approved the property to be designated B-2 for business outside of the downtown district. The proposed building is a three-story, 41 unit building that would be affordable for senior citizens.
No timetable has been released concerning when work will begin on the project.
In other business, the commission welcomed new member Josh Adams and said thank you to Tommy Dunn who resigned due to health issues.
