At a special called meeting Friday afternoon, Todd County Fiscal Court approved the purchase of a ladder truck. Todd County Emergency Management says in a social media post it is a 1992 Spartan 104′ aerial ladder fire truck from Command Apparatus out of Landisville, Pennsylvania.
According to officials, once the ladder truck is delivered, equipped and the necessary training is completed it will be stationed in Guthrie. Staffing will be a cooperative effort between the Guthrie, Elkton, and Trenton fire departments and other interested departments. Officials say the ladder truck will be available to serve everyone across Todd County when needed.
