The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be taking down several lane restrictions around the region to help traffic flow during the July 4 holiday weekend.
Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says the change will include the work zone on Interstate 24 where the massive fatal crash occurred Friday afternoon.

Todd adds work will continue after the holiday weekend is over.

The work zones on Interstate 24 are in place to allow concrete slabs to be repaired in Trigg, Caldwell and Lyon Counties.
