A young boy was treated and released from the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Princeton Monday afternoon.
Police report officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the 400 block of South Jefferson, near the Fresenius Kidney Care dialysis center, just before 3:00. Officers say 36-year-old Sheena Harris of Princeton was driving northbound when 9-year-old Chandler Reiser of Princeton ran out into the street. Harris reportedly tried to avoid hitting the child but was unable to so due to oncoming southbound traffic. Harris’ vehicle then struck Reiser in the arm causing minor injuries. Reiser told officers that he was chasing a dog when he ran into the roadway.
Reiser was later transported by personal vehicle to the emergency room at Caldwell Medical Center where he was treated and released.
