A man and woman were found to have law enforcement badges after police found them breaking into a home Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Dell Drive for a burglary in progress and found a window broken and 44-year-old Shannon Davenport of Pembroke at the home.
After police gave announcements that there was a K9 coming into the home 50-year-old Steven Haas of Hopkinsville climbed out of a window.
Haas was found to have four law enforcement badges in his pocket including one Hopkinsville police sergeant badge.
Davenport reportedly gave police a false name and social security number.
Both are charged with second-degree burglary and Davenport was also charged with theft of identity and was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear.
