A home on East 7th Street was severely damaged in a fire Monday afternoon.Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Futrell said flames were shooting from the roof and front of the home when firefighters arrived.
The home is believed to be a total loss said Futrell adding the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The American Red Cross has been contacted to help the two people staying in the home.
