One Small Step Day Coming To Planetarium July 20

As America celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing on July 20, the Golden Pond Planetarium will host a “One Small Step” event next Saturday.

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes (LBL) report the event will feature plenty of fun activities and special programming throughout the day.

Planetarium Manager Bill Futrell says they are happy to celebrate the important and pivotal moment in human history. He adds it’s an opportunity to meet real astronomers and to honor the half million men and women who worked on the Apollo program.
