The City of Hopkinsville is searching for a new fire chief after Freddie Montgomery will retire July 31 and become the head of the Clarksville Fire Department.
Mayor Carter Hendricks says the process of looking for the next chief is ongoing with the recent establishment of a ‘Fire Chief Interview Panel’.
He notes the application deadline is Friday afternoon, August 2 at 4:00.
Hendricks adds it will be bittersweet to see Montgomery go.
He says the team he will leave behind is a strong one.
