A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she was found to have a dog with severe health problems and injuries on her property Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a dog owned by 58-year-old Molly Duke was found at her home on Roney Drive with multiple severe health problems along with cuts and wounds to its body.
The dog’s injuries appeared to have been untreated. Duke told police she could not afford to take the dog for treatment.
Duke was also feeding feral cats at the home and letting them out of traps set up by police.
She is charged with second-degree cruelty to animals.
