Three of four family members in one vehicle, who were reportedly on their way to a Florida vacation, were killed in a crash Friday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel identified the victims as 76-year old Douglas Euler, 46-year old Kimberly Haley, and 25-year old Jennifer Hoffman, all from the Evansville area. He says they were passengers in a vehicle driven by Euler’s wife, whose name has not been released. He adds Haley was the driver’s daughter, and Hoffman was her granddaughter. Euler’s wife was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with critical injuries.
According to Daniel, the sheriff’s department has not completed their reconstruction of the wreck but it appears the four family members were in a Nissan Pathfinder and the driver, the wife of Euler, clipped or touched a semi in front of them. After impact, the SUV rolled over and was hit by another vehicle. One person in the third vehicle was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Daniel says the family was on their way to Daytona Beach, Florida and some other family members were in another vehicle but didn’t see the wreck occur. He adds when the other family members passed the wreck scene, they didn’t recognize the vehicle.
