A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to have a mobile caravan working along Interstate 24 in Christian County beginning Monday.
Public Information Officer Keith Todd says the crew will be installing reflective pavement markers along the interstate between the Pennyrile Parkway exchange at exit 81 to the Kentucky-Tennessee border, near the 93-mile marker. The caravan will feature a number of support vehicles with arrow boards to direct traffic around the work crew.
Todd adds the work will take place between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM each day to help reduce the likelihood of backups. The contractor plans to start work along the eastbound lanes and then the westbound lanes, with the work expected to take around five days, weather permitting.
