The Christian County Literacy Council is inviting children to come out and meet a local celebrity Wednesday afternoon.
Literacy Council representative Wayne Goolsby says Carolyn Haddock, also known as Mrs. Pickle, will host a back to school event at 4:00 in the Community Room of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. The event will be free for children going into Kindergarten through 6th grade and will feature a Pickle Potpourri Picnic.

Goolsby adds in his opinion, the council is the most important agency in Christian County.
