Hopkinsville Community College will be starting a new Diesel Technology program during the upcoming semester.
Program Coordinator Jacob Dougherty tells the News Edge there is an immediate need for workers in the region.
He adds the classes for the upcoming fall semester will take place at the Todd County Career Path Institute.
Dougherty notes students will start off with the basics.
Students will learn a lot more after the first semester of classes.
Dougherty urges anyone who is interested in taking the classes to visit the Hopkinsville Community College Administration building at 720 North Drive.
Classes at Hopkinsville Community College begin on Monday, August 19, with enrollment for the class open until that day.
