Oak Grove Fire Department responded to a fire in a school bus engine on Pembroke Oak Grove Road Tuesday morning.
Deputy Chief Bill Laux said the driver of the bus was able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher before the fire department arrived.
The new bus was being transported to Indiana and had no children inside.
