A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a police officer on Trail of Tears Drive Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Aaron Hale was reportedly driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, assaulted a Hopkinsville Police Officer and resisted arrest after being stopped.
The report does not give any information regarding how the officer was assaulted.
