A Hopkinsville man is charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault, and fleeing from police after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend during a fight Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Stephan Watson was arrested after he held Toria Jackson against her will at a Denzil Drive Apartment and pushed her to the ground multiple times before grabbing her around her throat.
Jackson is 25 weeks pregnant with a child that is not Watson’s.
When police arrived Watson reportedly fled out the backdoor but was located by a police K9 and treated for a bite wound before he was taken to jail.
Jackson allegedly told police Watson was angry because her dog had jumped on him.
He is charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
