Authorities say a Mayfield man was arrested on drug trafficking charges in Lyon County Tuesday night..
The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force reports, with the assistance of the Eddyville Police Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, they conducted a buy/bust operation in Kuttawa in which 28-year old Deryant Williams sold an ounce of meth to a police confidential informant. Authorities say when Williams was apprehended he was also found in possession of an additional two ounces of suspected meth along with a quantity of marijuana and digital scales.
According to the Task Force, Williams is currently on parole and was out on bond for an unrelated charge.
Williams was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
