Ceremony Recognizes Community Cooperation with Ft. Campbell

The Compatible Lands Foundation, in cooperation with Fort Campbell, hosted a ceremony Wednesday evening to recognize the various landowners who have contributed to their partnership to aid in military training.

Executive Director of the Compatible Lands Foundation Robert Gregory tells the News Edge the partnership with Fort Campbell was necessary to further military readiness and training.

He says the program has been a success and they wish to publicly recognize the contributions made by community landowners.

During the ceremony, they presented awards to each of the landowners whose cooperation was vital in the success of the partnership. In addition, a Conservation and Military Readiness award was presented to Wayne Hunt.

Garrison Commander of Fort Campbell Jeremy Bell spoke at the ceremony, saying the partnership is vital to the training that takes place on the base.

Assistant Secretary of the Army Installation, Energy, and Environment Alex Beehler also spoke at the ceremony to express his appreciation on behalf of the army for the community support in this partnership with Fort Campbell.
