TN Woman Arrested After Reporting A False Incident

A Tennessee woman was arrested after reporting a false incident early Sunday morning in Trigg County.

A Trigg County Sheriff’s Office report says 31-year old Niquita Khan of Franklin claimed her ex-boyfriend and two other male subjects were following her through the woods in LBL and making threats to use a gun on her. Deputy Jeffrey Arena and another officer made contact with Khan near the Turkey Bay OHV Park. She told officers the men had returned to the campground to hide the gun and some drugs and that two young children were in the woods somewhere.

Upon further investigation, deputies determined that Khan had gotten into an argument with her ex-boyfriend and asked him to take her home. The ex-boyfriend refused because he had been drinking and Khan made threats to call law enforcement.

Officers report the children were found to be with their father in another campsite in the park and no guns or drugs were located.

Trigg County Dispatch notes they received several 911 hang-ups from the phone Khan had called from.

Khan was charged with one count of falsely reporting an incident.
