Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on East Main Street In Elkton Tuesday night.Kentucky State Police Spokesman Rob Austin told the News Edge at the scene a traffic stop near South Perry Street led to shots being fired.
The man reportedly got out of his truck brandishing a firearm and gunfire was exchanged with law enforcement.
The Todd County Coroner’s Office pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released at this time.
Police say East Main Street will remain closed in the area as they continue to investigate the shooting.
