Preparations are already underway for the Christian County Heart Walk in April 2020, with organizers saying the following year the event will undergo a name change in order to include other counties in the region.
Brittany Newcom, with the Christian County Heart Walk, says they are kick starting the event a little earlier this year in hopes of getting more participants. She notes they are looking at several different ways to raise funds.

She adds the Heart Walk will be April 18, 2020, and they will have CPR demonstrations.
Newcom, who is 33-years old, says the Heart Walk is personal because of her own heart issues.

She adds she was born with a heart condition and had her first heart surgery when she was a child.

Newcom says heart disease can affect anybody at any age.

In 2021, she notes they will undergo a name change for the Heart Walk.
