A Calloway County man was flown to a Nashville hospital after authorities say he was shot in an altercation Tuesday night.
Calloway County Sheriff Sam Steger reports deputies responded to a 911 call in the New Concord area shortly before 8:30 p.m. and found 33-year old Charles Milam with a gunshot wound to the upper right leg. Deputies secured the scene and began rendering first aid and applied a tourniquet to Milam’s leg until EMS arrived at the scene.
Milam, of New Concord, was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. He was later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where is listed in critical condition.
