The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a vehicle was found partially submerged in a river over the weekend.
Deputy Joseph Stratton reports emergency crews were dispatched to a section of Trade Water River, located at the Caldwell-Hopkins line on Olney Road around 8:45 Saturday night, and found a four-door passenger vehicle partially submerged in the water. Deputy Stratton says emergency personnel found 51-year old Marshall Neisz and transported him to the hospital for treatment and he was later pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Dawson Springs Police Department and the Dawson Springs and Charleston Fire Departments.
