An Illinois man was charged after he was allegedly found with drugs after a crash on Nelson Drive Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Eric Powell of Momence, Illinois was found with two different types of pills and marijuana on him after crashing his vehicle into a ditch.
Powell reportedly told police he had just taken his sleeping medication and was trying to stop his girlfriend from driving.
He is charged with DUI, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
