The City of Cadiz was presented discretionary road funding Thursday afternoon to repave three roads.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Field Representative Mark Welch told city officials the requests were originally denied, but after re-evaluation, the funding was made available. Welch notes over $65,000 will be given to improve Phoenix and Bella Drive and Sara Court, which is near Harper House.
Welch notes the 100% funding requires no match by the city.
Once the contract is approved, it will be sent to Frankfort and the money will be awarded to the transportation cabinet where it will stay until the projects are complete.
The projects are not expected to be completed until Spring.
