Man Arrested For Claiming To Work For Homeland Security

Authorities say a Union County man was arrested at a Cadiz business for impersonating a public servant and other charges Monday afternoon.

According to a report from the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, Major Jimmy Godair was called to Wildcat Chevrolet regarding 44-year old Bradley Cavins from Uniontown, who was claiming he worked for Homeland Security. Major Godair made contact with the individual and told him it was illegal to impersonate an officer and that he needed to leave the property. The report states Cavins refused and said he was not leaving until President Donald Trump told him to.

Cavins was told he was under arrest but continued to claim he was not and refused to turn around. He was then tased and placed in handcuffs. Cavins is charged with impersonating a public servant, 2nd-degree disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
