Authorities say a truck taken by a jail escapee in Calloway County has been located in Tennessee.
Around 1:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police say the truck being driven by Henry Rickard, Jr. was found abandoned in Weakley County near the community of Buchanan. Tennessee authorities are searching Rickard in the Buchanan area for Rickard.
According to Kentucky State Police, they were notified at 12:45 p.m. that Rickard Jr. escaped from a work detail and was last seen driving a Calloway County Road Department vehicle in the area of Sycamore Industrial Road in Murray.
Rickard is described as a white male, 5’7″, and weighing about 140 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair and brown eyes.
Police say he was incarcerated for drug and weapons charges and should be considered dangerous. The public is asked to no approach Rickard if located.
Rickard reportedly has family in west Tennessee but his destination is currently unknown.
