Hopkinsville Woman Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash

A Hopkinsville woman was injured in a crash on Means Avenue Friday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 52-year-old Dorothy Lovelace of Hopkinsville was eastbound on Means Avenue when her SUV was sideswiped by a car going around her driven by 37-year-old Sheila Evans of Hopkinsville.

Evans reportedly told police she left the scene due to people being hostile and didn’t call the police because she didn’t have insurance.

A passenger in Lovelace’s vehicle 23-year-old Kirstin Strickland was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for back pain.

Evens was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to maintain required insurance.
