The 10th annual Pink Out proved to be successful and two relay organizations were presented donations Tuesday afternoon. During the Live Afternoon Drive on WKDZ, program host Bill Booth presented Christian and Trigg County Relay for Life with the donations.
Dannye Wagner from the Trigg County Relay for Life thanked the Edge Media Group for their efforts in helping the organization.
The American Cancer Society reports the mission of Relay For Life is to raise funds to improve cancer survival, decrease the incidence of cancer, and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers.
Christian County Relay for Life co-chair Pam Futrell notes they provide support for people going through cancer and caretakers.
Futrell adds they have a tree lighting event coming up next month.
