Eighth District State Representative Walker Thomas is now chairing a powerful committee in the Kentucky House of Representatives.
Thomas was named Chairman of Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Safety Friday by House Speaker David Osborne. Representative Thomas replaces former Representative Tim Moore.
Representative Thomas says he is pleased to be chairing the committee.
Thomas says the committee is the gateway for quite a bit of significant legislation that is considered by the Kentucky House.
Thomas represents Eastern Trigg County and a portion of Christian County in the Kentucky House of Representatives.
