After action by Christian County Fiscal Court magistrates Tuesday morning, deputy constables will no longer be allowed to have blue lights on their vehicles.
Judge-Executive Steve Tribble says the recommendation was made by the Law Enforcement Committee. County Attorney John Soyars says the amendment eliminates the possibility deputy constables could request or use blue lights.

In other action, magistrates approved an incentive resolution for the new Jennie Stuart Medical facility that will be constructed at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Eagle Way Bypass. Magistrate Darrell Gustafson explains the more than $15.5 million joint venture between Jennie Stuart and Kentucky Healthcare Holdings, known as the Jennie Stuart Medical Office Building at Blue Creek, qualifies for the county’s incentive program.
Gustafson notes there will be 75 temporary jobs and 45 permanent new jobs in the facility.Magistrates also accepted a bid from CBF Contracting for $64,621 to renovate the offices for the Alhambra Theatre with the City of Hopkinsville and the Pennyroyal Arts Council to split the cost with the county.
The next fiscal court meeting will be Tuesday morning, December 17, at 8:30.
