The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from 6:00 Tuesday evening through 3:00 Wednesday afternoon for all of western Kentucky with sustained winds of 15 to 30 mph, along with some gusts around 45 mph.
The impacts from the high winds could affect drivers of high profile vehicles, and loose objects outdoors will likely be tossed around. Meteorologists indicate the wind gusts could also down a few tree branches or small trees that may be loosely rooted.
A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are expected to reach 30 mph or greater for longer than one hour, or wind gusts are expected to reach 40 mph for any duration.
