A wreck on US 68 at the intersection of North Main Street in Elkton Sunday night sent five people to the hospital, including two from Cadiz.
Elkton Police say 65-year-old Debbie Moore of Franklin was driving east on US 68 when she failed to stop for a stoplight at the intersection of North Main Street. Moore’s vehicle hit a northbound SUV being driven by 78-year-old Jerry Birl of Cadiz.
Police say Jerry Birl was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Birl’s passenger, 77-year-old Naomi Birl of Cadiz, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Moore and one of her passengers, 81-year-old Peggy Whited of Franklin, were taken by ambulance to Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. A third passenger in Moore’s vehicle, 45-year-old Brian Wilson, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
The extent of the injuries remains unknown.
